The state of the universe in 2026
This matters for how you watch, so let's get it straight up front:
- FBI — the flagship, still going. It was renewed through the 2026–27 season and is currently airing its eighth season.
- FBI: Most Wanted — concluded in 2025 after six seasons.
- FBI: International — concluded in 2025 after four seasons.
- FBI: CIA — a new spin-off in the works, so the universe is being rebuilt rather than wound down.
So all three original shows are complete or ongoing with full runs available — which actually makes now a good time to binge them start to finish.
Three ways to watch
| Your goal | Order |
|---|---|
| Simplest binge | FBI (all seasons) → Most Wanted → International |
| Most faithful | By airdate across all three; watch crossovers back-to-back as they occur |
| Crossovers only | Use an episode guide to find the paired episodes and watch each cluster together |
How the shows connect
Each show is a self-contained procedural, so you can enjoy any of them alone. The connection comes from three things: recurring characters who move between teams, occasional shared cases, and multi-part crossover events. Most episodes stand on their own; it's only the crossovers where order genuinely matters.
Spotting the crossovers
You don't want to watch half a two-parter and stop. The tells: episodes marked "Part 1 / Part 2," a lead character from another show appearing in the guest credits, and episode summaries that name the other team. When one shows up, watch the connected episode from the other series right away, then carry on.
Which show is for you?
They're three flavours of the same recipe. FBI balances character drama with weekly cases and is the natural entry point. Most Wanted is grittier and more fugitive-of-the-week. International trades local procedure for globe-hopping cases with a Europe-based team. Start with the flagship, then follow whichever tone appeals.
Where to watch
These are CBS shows and generally live on Paramount's streaming service, with broadcast and library availability differing by country. If a season isn't offered where you are but is on a service you subscribe to abroad, a VPN can connect you to that region's catalogue — it's legal in most countries and works like any other subscription app; just follow the streaming service's terms.
